Week 7: Gideon — From Weakness to Warrior

God Uses the Weak (Judges 6–7)

My Bible Story

When God called Gideon, he was hiding from Israel’s enemies. He felt weak and afraid. But God saw something different in Gideon. God called him a “mighty warrior” and told him He would be with him. With only 300 men, Gideon defeated a huge army because God gave him victory — not strength.

What This Teaches Us

  • God sees potential in us even when we feel weak.
  • God gives courage to those who trust Him.
  • Small + God = Enough.
  • God uses unlikely people to do great things.

Memory Verse

“The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.” — Judges 6:12

Activities

  • Warrior Badge Craft: Kids create “Mighty Warrior” badges.
  • Torches and Jars: Make Gideon’s battle tools (paper version).
  • Weak vs Strong: Sort situations where God gives strength.

Prayer

God, help me trust You even when I feel weak. Give me courage like Gideon, and use me for Your glory. Amen.
