MY BIBLE STORY

Long ago, people stopped following God's ways. They did many wrong things that made God sad. But there was one man named Noah who was different. The Bible says:

"Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God." (Genesis 6:9 NKJV)

God told Noah He was going to send a flood because people were doing so many bad things. But God wanted to save Noah and his family. He told Noah to build a big boat called an ark.

"Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch." (Genesis 6:14 NKJV)

Noah obeyed God even when others laughed at him. He worked hard for many years building the ark just as God instructed.

God told Noah to bring his family and two of every kind of animal onto the ark. When everyone was safely inside, God closed the door. Then the rain began to fall for 40 days and 40 nights.

"And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights." (Genesis 7:12 NKJV)

The whole earth was covered with water, but Noah, his family, and the animals were safe because Noah had obeyed God.

After the flood, God put a beautiful rainbow in the sky as a promise never to flood the whole earth again.

"I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth." (Genesis 9:13 NKJV)

God blessed Noah and his family for their faithfulness and obedience.

SCRIPTURE TREASURE

"By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith."

(Hebrews 11:7 NKJV)
