My Bible Story
After creating the world in six days, God rested on the seventh day, blessed it, and made it holy. Later in the Ten Commandments, God told His people to “Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.” Sabbath is a day of rest, worship, joy, and being with God.
What This Teaches Us
- We honor God when we rest on His holy day.
- Sabbath is for worship, not work.
- We follow God’s example of resting.
- Sabbath helps us grow spiritually.
Memory Verse
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” — Exodus 20:8
