My Bible Story

Paul taught the church in Philippi to think about things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy. God calls us to guard our minds from bad thoughts, evil influences, and wrong ideas. A pure mind leads to a pure life.

What This Teaches Us

  • Our thoughts shape our actions.
  • We must protect our minds from sinful influences.
  • God wants us to think about good things.
  • Pure thoughts help us obey God.

Memory Verse

“Think about things that are pure and lovely.” — Philippians 4:8

Activities

  • Mind Filter: Sort pure vs impure thoughts.
  • Good Things Poster: Kids draw things that are “lovely and praiseworthy.”
  • Thought Patrol: Identify ways to guard the mind (Bible reading, good friends).

Prayer

Lord, help me think pure thoughts that honor You. Guard my mind and make it clean. Amen.
