About True Faith Church International

True Faith Church International was founded through the divine calling and ministry of Apostle Samuel Brako of blessed memory, a native of Osiem in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The church traces its origin to the early 1900s when Christianity in the Gold Coast was largely dominated by churches that worshipped on Sunday. Through divine revelation, God raised Apostle Samuel Brako to restore the observance of the Sabbath and uphold biblical truth.

Apostle Samuel Brako, popularly known as Kwame Panin, was born into a royal family as the son of Nana Juaben Boateng I and Madam Abena Afrah. After the death of his father in 1904, he moved from Juaben to Osiem with his uncles, where he became an active and devoted member of the Methodist Church. He was known for his humility, discipline, hard work, and dedication to the things of God.

In the year 1914, while preparing to ring the Methodist church bell at dawn for morning service, Apostle Samuel Brako experienced a divine encounter. According to the church’s historical records, he was surrounded by a bright heavenly light and received a vision from angels instructing him to establish a Sabbath-observing church in Ghana. During the encounter, he was given a silver key as a symbol of divine authority and commission.

Following this revelation, he faced strong opposition, rejection, and persecution from both the church and members of his own family. Despite these challenges, he remained steadfast through fasting, prayer, and obedience to the voice of God.

In the same year, Pastor Sampson Krofa and Pastor David Krofa also received divine revelations concerning Sabbath worship. God directed them to seek out Apostle Samuel Brako at Osiem so they could work together to establish the new ministry. Their meeting marked the beginning of a united evangelistic movement devoted to worshipping God in spirit and in truth and observing the Sabbath according to Scripture.

The ministry continued to grow through prayer, fasting, evangelism, and baptism by immersion in rivers and streams, following the biblical example of the early church. Branches were established in many parts of Ghana including Amenase, Assin, Enyiresi, Obo Kwahu, Techimantia, Agogo, and Bododoma.

In 1924, the church became known as “The Faith Church.” Later, after reunification efforts among different groups within the ministry, a synod meeting held at Obo Kwahu in 1957 officially renamed the church “True Faith Church.” The headquarters was established at Kwahu Praso, and the church continued to expand both nationally and internationally.

Today, True Faith Church International continues to uphold the teachings of the Holy Scriptures, emphasizing holiness, Sabbath observance, prayer, evangelism, baptism by immersion, Christian discipline, and faithful service to God and humanity. The church has branches across Ghana and internationally, including the United States of America, Canada, Great Britain, Holland, Togo, and Côte d’Ivoire.
